3 Vampire Worlds We Wish We Could Live In

3 Vampire Worlds We Wish We Could Live In

I bet every single one of us has at one point daydreamed about living in our favorite vampire world, be it one from a movie, book or show, we all have a little world to escape to. With so many choices,  which vampire universe do you choose? Here are my three picks:

Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake

Hamilton has created such a vast and detailed fang-filled world that you can’t help but wish to be part of it. In her Anita Blake series there are vampires, an assortment of shapeshifters, necromancers, witches and more – a perfect mixture of monsters. On top of that, all of these supernatural beings are known to the world, vampires are legal citizens, which makes it so much more fun. While it has that in common with the Sookie Stackhouse series, I have to admit that I love it more in the Anita series. Also, the vampires are badass! First the vamps have their own special powers unique to them and second, they have a fascinating and twisted way of life that I just adore. I could go on and on about this world (yes, I’m a total fangirl) but I’ll end with one last thing about the Anitaverse that I love – women kick ass. Women aren’t these scared meek creatures; they are a force to be reckoned with.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Like Anita-land, the world of Buffy is massive and has so much going on, so much to keep you interested. In this world there’s every kind of supernatural creature you can think of, and even a few you can’t. The show is also ridiculously hilarious, so hanging out with the Scoobies sounds like an awesome time.

Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles

If you have read Anne Rice’s beautiful vampire novels then I don’t even need to explain the desire to live in her world. Anne is known for painting an incredibly vivid picture for her readers, it becomes so real in your head that sometimes you think for a moment that just maybe everything she is writing IS real. Her characters are so deeply intelligent and mesmerizing that you want nothing more than to stare and listen to them for hours as they speak. Marius was always my top pick for that, who wouldn’t want to spend an evening with such a captivating being?

Those are my three picks, the vampire worlds I would LOVE to live in, even for a day. But what about you guys, what three vampire worlds do you wish you could be part of?
