Badass Apps For Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Fans

With the recent release of the hit film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter on DVD and Blu-ray some awesome little promotional apps have been released, as well as a free motion comic. There’s the photobomb app, which allows you to pose with characters from the movie, or if you want, you can just use the awesome photo filters to add a bit of grunge to your photos (like Instagram, but darker). There’s also an app that allows you to be part of the film, you can watch as your head gets chopped off. Check them out…

“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the bloody lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.”

Check out these two amusing apps and the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter motion comic below:

ABE THE PHOTOBOMB
Capitalizing on the pop-culture trend of “photo bombing” this social tool allows users to upload an image of themselves and digitally insert Abe (or one of the vampires). Additionally, the user can add numerous period filters, giving the photo a daguerreotype look. The finished image can then be shared on the most popular social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc).

AXE YOURSELF
This viral application allows users to insert themselves into one of the most exciting scenes from the film and watch, as they become the hunted. After uploading their image and “vampire-izing” themselves (adding fangs, creepy eyes, etc), an axe-wielding Abe attacks this newest member of the undead, eventually triumphing in a spectacular moment of gore.

MOTION COMIC
Continuing the set of “motion comics” released by theatrical, Chapter 4 took this compelling series to the next level with all-new storyboards and imagery.

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
