Celebites: Nicholas Brendon is Tanked and Tasered

Nicholas Brendon played the lovable Xander Harris for seven seasons on Buffy the Vampire Slayer but now, he's busy chasing other demons. Last month, Nicholas Brendon had an altercation with police while he was from the sounds of it, just plain drunk out of his mind. And this isn't the first time that Nicholas' drinking has gotten him into trouble. He did a stint in rehab in 2004 to deal with his alcohol problem. Apparently, that didn't work.

Nicholas was out celebrating St. Patrick's Day last month in Venice, California. Where exactly he was in Venice is unknown, but police were called due to a man making a terrible scene. When they arrived, Nicholas was reportedly thrashing about in some kind of drunken fit and was so hammered, that he allegedly even caused property damage. In addition to that, he also assaulted one of the officers that was trying to calm him down and, I assume, take him into custody at least to throw into the drunk tank.

In order to subdue Nicholas and make him cooperate, the police had to taser him not once, but twice. The cops were able to subdue him and after the arrest, Nicholas was taken to a hospital where he was looked over and given a relatively clean bill of health. In total, Nicholas faces one charge of vandalism, two charges of assault against a police officer, and a charge for resisting arrest. The charges could land him up to two years in jail and a $4,000 fine which let's face it, for Nicholas is pennies.

Nicholas Brendon's court date for him to make his defense was on April 7 and there doesn't seem to be any word yet on what happened at that court date. We'll keep our ear to the ground for  ya to keep you posted!
