it is totally possible that vampires do exist and are being kept in a secret. The government finally had to admit that UFO’s actually exist and the knowledge goes all the way to the White House. It would not surprise me one bit….

yet another book series in which the sub characters are the redeeming factor in the plot. the books went downhill too when they were revived by the vampire craze. I never expected to like Klaus, so yet again I must imagine the books&tv series entirely separate entities

so I must wait for the dvd’s to see the new season, I just finished 5…(unless I find another mainer who wants to watch them&has cable)im putting off the last book as its the end, but I loved the books&have found the series lacking so I must separate them in my mind. now its time for the last book but w/suck abysmal reviews I think it will be a book I drink heavily reading. it WAS good, what happened? popularity shouldn’t ruin things but oftentimes seems to.

I wish they would make the movie based on the books a bit more. The books had an awesome story line to them and while I love the characters on the animated tv series, it seems like they sort of dumbed them down and completely took out several central characters to the plot. They probably will base the movie off the animated series because it is so popular and most of the fans of the series now is because of the show. I just hope they don’t completely make a laughing stock out of the movies because I have been hoping they would make a movie out of the series. Let us just hope those directors and producers know what they are doing.

I haven’t read the last book yet, but I know a lot of people found it disappointing. What I was referring to was simply bringing in a few more of the things that worked in the books. For instance, I don’t think we’ve seen Sookie work a single day since Season 3 or 4. How’s she paying her bills? For that matter, how does Merlotte’s stay in business with Sam flipping out all the time and everyone being too busy running for their lives to keep it running?

One of the things I liked about the books was that characters’ actions had real-world consequences. Sookie had normal responsibilities to worry about in addition to the supernatural problems. I liked that she sometimes helped Andy out with police cases. I liked her finding out about Hunter, her cousin Hadley’s kid. I liked her quirky witch friends who weren’t trying carry out some grand plan.

My comment was a suggestion that it might be nice to see some of these characters get some plots and development that don’t involve being possessed or haunted by ghosts, raising fairy babies, and being chased by 3,000 year old uber-vamps. How has Bon Temps not become a ghost town by now? The place is a bigger weirdness magnet than Sunnydale and it doesn’t even have the excuse of a Hellmouth!

Please oh please, don’t let the series go in the direction of the books. The final book of the series was a huge disappointment to me and made me feel like I wasted years following the books!
