Could One Of The Bronte Sisters Have Inspired The Tale Of Dracula

Letters discovered in a fly-filled Victorian prison cell shed new light on the creation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

An English paper has asked whether some letters found between Bram Stoker, and a friend are what inspired him to create one of the most popular characters of all time. The letters talk about some lore from a town being attacked by a pale woman who bites the throat of her victims. It’s said the mysterious woman died in her twenties from consumption, and was laid to rest in the cemetery which Anne Bronte (who also died in her 20’s from consumption) was buried. Could Bram Stoker’s best known story be an expansion on this old town tale?
