Dance Drama Coming to The Vampire Diaries ‘Do Not Go Gentle’

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 continues next week with episode 20, “Do Not Go Gentle,” and it’s time for another Decade Dance in Mystic Falls. That of course means lots of drama and tragedy, because as we all know, their dances never go well. If you’re like me and are in desperate need of hints at what’s to come then check out the plot synopsis and video promo below!

“Alaric (Matt Davis) finds an unexpected ally to guide him on his dangerous new path, while Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Meredith (guest star Torrey Devitto) try to figure out what their next move should be. At the school’s 1920s Decade Dance, Bonnie (Kat Graham) asks Jamie (guest star Robert Ri’chard) to go with her and, at Caroline’s (Candice Accola) suggestion, Elena (Nina Dobrev) asks Stefan (Paul Wesley) to be her date. Caroline is pleasantly surprised when Tyler (Michael Trevino) shows up at the dance determined to sweep her off her feet, but Klaus (Joseph Morgan) does his best to come between them. The dance takes a deadly turn when Damon and Stefan realize they need the help of Matt (Zach Roerig), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and especially Bonnie to undo a spell that could prove devastating for everyone.”

See, lots of drama! I have to admit, even though Rebekah is one of the bad guys I feel a little bad for the poor girl because, yet again, she’s going to be missing out on a dance, this time because her mother has possessed her. All she wants is to live her life – so much for that. But, in a way, she is sort of going to the dance. According to the promo below, Esther will be making an appearance while in Rebekah’s body.

The promo also shows Elena at the dance with Stefan. It looks like she’s still trying to figure out her feelings for the Salvatore brothers. As I am sure we ALL remember, Damon and Elena had a super hot kiss in episode 19 – and she made the first move! But it looks like there may be a romantic moment with Stefan as well. The executive producer did say a while back that they were going to try to balance the romance out to please the Damon/Elena fans and the Stefan/Elena fans.

But enough talking about the big promo, check it out for yourself!

Exciting! What are your thoughts on the next episode? What do you think is up with the magical barrier? I wonder if Alaric will be around next season, you know, with him being all evil now. Hmmm…

    1. Why can’t you see it? It works for me :) I am not sure why there isn’t a recap of the last episode.

  8. Lots of things to say, but I’ll try to keep it brief, but no promises. On the love triangle: I prefer Stefan and Elena to be together, but I hope they find someone to make Damon happy, because he deserves it. On stefan: I realise he loved her so much, he let Elena go, but I wish he would fight for her. On elena: I just hope she picks stefan, and that he forgives himself enough to let her. On klaus: hate the psychopathic, manipulative, …, hope they find a way to kill him off, without killing off any goodguys, probably with magic. On rebekah: I feel so sorry, for her, she’s just as much a victim as anyone else, even when she’s bad, I hope she stands up to klaus, and joins the goodguys. On alaric: I hope they find a way for him to become good again and stay that way, but if all that happened, what would the problem be for next season?

    1. I hope Alaric go’s and stays bad I like him that way and if they do that Rebekah can come to the good side :D
