Eerie Cuties

Vampires can be dark, sinister, bloodlust driven creatures of horror …or they can be absolutely adorable and huggable as seen in the new web comic Eerie Cuties.

Eerie Cuties is written and drawn by New-Brunswick born Gisèle "Giz" Lagacé.  Giz is also known for her work on the web comics Cool Cat Studio (completed), Penny & Aggie (co-creator & 1st artist from this date to this date) and Ménage à 3 (ongoing). Ménage à 3 is also an excellent, fun comic (an adult comic) but alas it is not about vampires so onwards (still worth checking out though). Eerie Cuties is colored by Miguel Marques. Eerie Cuties is a humorous comic mixed with a bit of horror and a mammoth amount of cute that is sure to give you a pleasant cuteness overdose. The comic thus far is about a supernatural high school, full of all sorts of little beasties. While this comic is still relatively young it already has an assortment of fun and amusing characters. Without giving the story away, the cast so far consists of 14-year-old and totally lovable vampire, Nina Delacroix and her not so cutesy, blood loving 16-year-old vampire sister Layla Delacroix (who wears an awesome emotive hairclip that I want). Then you have the semi creepy Blair, a toy doll…who is possessed by a male soul. You also have Nina’s new friend Chloe , Layla’s friend Kade Whiteclaw (who is also totally adorable), a strange French teacher and a mysterious groundskeeper.

So far Eerie Cuties has been absolutely amusing and hilarious. I can’t wait to see what else Giz brings to it, if her other work is any clue she will no doubt bring even more hilarity and adventure.

Eerie Cuties is updated on Mondays and Wednesdays.
