Eric Tortures Pam in Latest True Blood Promo!

HBO knows that True Blood fans are hungry for any news on Season 5, they know that “Waiting Sucks,” which is why they have released another promo video. With this latest sneak peek, HBO is showing viewers that no one is safe in True Blood.

The new “Waiting Sucks” promo for True Blood season five is once again a behind the scenes clip of filming. The latest promo shows an intense and tear-filled exchange between Pam and her maker Eric.

Set inside the vampire bar, Fangtasia, the scene shows the aftermath of Bon Temps’ residents upon discovering that the evil vampire king Russell Edgington has been freed from his cement tomb.

At Fangtasia Pam is currently pinned down and it appears that she has been tortured for information by an unseen face. “Stop fucking lying,” says the cruel voice.

“I’m not lying. I swear I don’t know where Russell is,” Pam says with tears in her eyes.

Within a split second we learn that the man behind the torture is none other than Eric, Pam’s maker.

“What’s happened to you?” Pam asks when Eric finally releases her from his grasp. “How could you think that I would dig up Russell Edgington?” she asks with obvious pain in her voice.

“I trust no one,” Eric counters. “You shouldn’t either,” he tells Pam.

This video is super depressing. I absolutely love Pam, she is one of my favorite characters on the show, so seeing her in pain bums me out. It’s also heartbreaking seeing Eric hurt her since they were once so close and loving.

Season five of True Blood airs Sunday, June 10 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.

What do you this of this “Waiting Sucks” video? What are your thoughts on Eric torturing Pam?
