February Release: New Entry in the ‘Bloodlines’ Series ‘The Ruby Circle’ by Richelle Mead

“The JJJ Book Club can not stop reading books — and it’s the most wonderful problem to have…”

The author of the Vampire Academy series has finally added another book to her long list of vampire fiction and romance contributions. I’m pitifully behind on my reading, but in my defense, a lot of books seem so similar nowadays. But I have read some of the Richelle Mead series’ and I really like them. And then again, for arguments’ sake, I’m a bit too old to identify with a bunch of high school girls.

This series is a little different, and deal instead with two clashing cultures: the Alchemists and the Moroi. Alas, this is the very last book in the series. Does that mean there will be more? I hope so; Mead’s universe of vampires and secret societies is incredibly intricate and there aren’t just vampires and humans; there are organizations as well as different species. If you haven’t tried any of the stories, you should. You’re totally missing out on one of the more unique and original vampire fiction authors out there right now.
