GetGlue Offering True Blood Stickers

GetGlue is a new and incredibly addictive social network for entertainment. They have more than 4.5 million unique ratings and check-ins for TV shows, movies, music and books every month. If you sign up on GetGlue you get to rate the things that you like, check out recommendations and earn fun rewards.

Something that’s really cool is that you can use the GetGlue iPhone app to check-in while watching your favorite shows to share with friends and to earn exclusive stickers. Stickers yay! The thing is these stickers are mostly for your profile page, they display there like badges BUT you can order them and get real stickers in the mail.

But what does this all have to do with True Blood? Well, GetGlue and True Blood hooked up and are offering exclusive stickers for Truebies. GetGlue users will be able to earn these new stickers by checking-in to the show using GetGlue iPhone app starting Sunday, August 1st. Easy right?

Well, not so easy. Some of the stickers will only unlock after fans check-in to the show several times. Then other stickers are a secret and will require True Blood knowledge to earn (we would totally kickass at getting those stickers, we know it ALL). But if you aren’t a True Blood expert, don’t worry, HBO is planning to offer hints on how to earn the stickers in coming weeks via their Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Like I said, GetGlue users will also be able to order free physical copies of these and other stickers they earn by visiting GetGlue’s web site. Then you can show your Truebie pride by putting stickers on everything.

It’s a pretty cool deal, the site is fun and stickers rock. The only bad thing is that not everyone has an iPhone to play with during watching (like me). Lame.
