Have You Seen This Cake?
Most of my friends, my close friends, anyway, know that I write for this and several other websites. This being the case, I am not infrequently sent vampire-related stuff—or werewolf-related stuff, or zombies, or Horror in general; you get the idea—in case I might want to use the stuff that was sent to generate an article. Friends send fodder! I always say. Well, I say it a lot NOW. Anyway. This past week a friend sent me this picture of a vampire Valentine’s Day cake. I love it. I love the kissing lips with vampire fangs and the bloody bite taken out. Unfortunately my friend couldn’t tell me anything about the origin of the photograph or the cake. I tried a google search, and while I found pictures of many inventive vampire-themed cakes, I didn’t find this particular one. Thus it is that I am posting here, in hopes that someone can help me track down the baker/designer of this concoction so that I may properly congratulate him or her. Do any of you know the creator of this delicacy?
In the past I have profiled thematic baked goods and their respective culinary artists. Check out an article I did on one Ms. Katherine Dey and her ghoulishly delicious cake creatures for our sister site, werewolves.com. Likewise, if you are a baker of vampire or werewolf or zombie or Horror-themed cakes or other goodies, feel free to send me a photograph and I will happily feature you in an article. Here’s your chance for a little publicity, bloody bakers of the world!
