Laughing at Twilight!
Believe it or not folks, but not everyone loves Twilight. GASP! Oh noes! It’s true - in fact, some people even consider it a giant joke. So much so that quite a few authors and wannabe-authors have written Twilight parodies mocking the Stephenie Meyer series. I was browsing the book section at the store today when one of these books caught my eye, Nightlight: A Parody by The Harvard Lampoon.
The Harvard Lampoon is an undergraduate humor publication and social organization that was founded in 1876 at Harvard University in Massachusetts. Their hilarious publications poke fun at everything from popular books to magazines, so of course they’d have to take a shot at Twilight. After reading an excerpt from the parody I can’t wait to read the entire book, it definitely had me laughing.

About three things I was absolutely certain. First, Edwart was most likely my soul mate, maybe. Second, there was a vampire part of him–which I assumed was wildly out of his control–that wanted me dead. After witnessing a number of strange events–Edwart leaves his tater tots untouched at lunch! Edwart saves her from a flying snowball!–Belle has a dramatic revelation: Edwart is a vampire. But how can she convince Edwart to bite her and transform her into his eternal bride, especially when he seems to find girls so repulsive?
This book sounds hilarious, I can't wait to read all of it.

I think that ppl need to leave twilight alone if u dont like twilight then u don’t know what u r missing out on and so ppl need 2 back off and stop hating on twilight
Oh come on, it’s a piss-take.. everyone’s entitled to their own opinions and some people actually like reading that sort of thing. just because twilight has become such a big hit doesn’t mean it’s the be all and end all of literature. give it a break, people can do whatever they want with the story.
I totally agree with teamwerewolf. It’s called an opinion. And at the end of the day if you think about it, parodies raise awareness of what they’re taking the mickie out of. So whiney fangirls should get their heads out of the clouds (& in some cases Edward’s butt) in order to realise that :’)
i like twilight personally. I enjoy watching those two films but ill agree that its overated
i have read all the books and i think they are ok but i would deffiantly choose to read nightlight instead of twilight any day of the week!
Im a massive fan of twilight but i really dont get why people are taking this book offenseivly.Every ones aloud there oppion! And even though i love twilight i still find this book funny :)
i love twilight but people can do what they like, even though i like it i think the mickey takes are still really funny and im not bothered if people slag it off bcoz it dosnt matter it isnt the end of the world
