Miley Cyrus Trashes Twilight – Gasp!

Screw the oil spill, the Wall Street reform bill and the troubles in Afghanistan – do you know what countless news sites have featured on their home page? “MILEY CYRUS HATES VAMPIRES!” Oh nooooes! It’s official, vampires have taken over the world.

That’s right boys and girls, the beloved pop princess hates vampires.

The Hannah Montana star has once again taken a shot at the Twilight franchise, which she has likened to a “cult” in the past. Saying, “I think it’s like [a] cult…I think it’s a cult. I think it’s bad. I think it’s like, just people get too into it. or me, I think it’s like when guys look at supermodels and they’re like, ‘That’s the perfect girl,’ … That’s what those kind of movies do to us. They’re like thinking that’s what girls should be like and not everyone is going to be Edward, hate to say it.”

I have to say, that little Miley is probably sick of being asked about Twilight in every damn interview, in another one she said, “I’ve never seen [Twilight], nor will I. I don’t believe in it. I don’t like vampires, I don’t like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I’m watching TV at night, I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t like the shirts, I don’t like any of it.”

But in her most recent bit of vampire trashing she declared, “I’d rather keep the dead and revolting things like vampires and werewolves out of my life.”

Yeah ok, to each their own. Miley Cyrus clearly isn’t a fan of vampires (who are so not revolting), big deal. Everyone likes different things, and if Miley doesn’t like vampires then that’s fine, she doesn’t have to, it just means she isn’t as cool as us vamp fans.
Because we rock all things awesome!
