552665_397231030388436_2089083892_nGolden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“The Tudors”) stars in this provocative new drama as one of the world’s most iconic characters.

It’s the late 19th century, and the mysterious Dracula has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He’s especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night – useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: he hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan… until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

From the producers of the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning hit “Downton Abbey” comes “Dracula,” a twisted, sophisticated and sexy take on Bram Stoker’s classic novel, proving that some stories never die. One-hour drama.

Here is trailer number one:

And here is trailer number two:

What do you think? I am a little disappointed by the low-budget feel of the trailers. But I am thrilled at Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ performance. He is always fantastic.

Remember, Dracula premieres Friday, October 25 at 10/9c on NBC.

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  1. The trailers might look low-budget, but the second one is playing Depeche Mode, so atleast they got the music right. I’m still pretty excited about the show. The first few seasons of Buffy were very low-budget, but turned out to be great. Hopefully this will have the same outcome.

  2. I actually think exactly the opposite, maybe compared to a movie, low budget … but for a TV show this looks beautiful and not at all cheap.
