Review of ‘Ultimate Comics Avengers 3 #1’ (worst comic title EVER)

Really? They couldn’t come up with something better than Ultimate Comics Avengers 3 Issue #1? Maybe something like THE AVENGERS ARE VAMPIRES bababuuuuum! Anyway, this comic series, in which your beloved Marvel heroes become vampires, came out back in 2010… and I am just now reading it, because it just now came out digitally (going to an actual comic shop would require leaving my house). So I read it and reviewed it below, check it out.

Comic description:

“Blade is back in a bad way and that can only mean one thing: vampires are afoot! As the Avengers get deeper into black ops, there’s no telling who’ll be thirsting for blood and who’ll be next on the menu!”

But here’s the official break down:

Art: 3.5 out of 5
It wasn’t bad art, it was just boring art. It’s the same old cliché, totally unoriginal comic book art we’ve seen a billion times before. It was well done, yeah, but there was no imagination there. Yawn.

Story: 4 out of 5
Ok, it’s not the most creative story. You have a new Daredevil fighting it out with old vampire enemies. But even though it wasn’t the most innovative tale,  it was still AWESOME. There was even a super bloody Blade battle packed full of badassery. Vampires and superheroes is always a good combination.

Those are my thoughts on the lamely titled Ultimate Comics Avengers 3 Issue #1. Another entertaining vampire comic. Have any of you read this one, if so, what did you think?

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
