‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘Supernatural’ Picked Up For Another Season!
Hurray! The CW recently announced that two of our favorite shows, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural, will be back for another season in Fall 2011! That means we’re getting another entire season of sexy vampire brothers! And, hopefully, another Supernatural season full of vampires!
According to the CW blog:
“The CW’s bloodily addictive hit THE VAMPIRE DIARIES was also given an early renewal, and in its sophomore season, remains the network’s most-watched show (4.0 million viewers) and the network’s number-one show among its target audience of women 18-34 (2.9/9).
The network also renewed fan favorite SUPERNATURAL, which enters its seventh season next year. In moving to Fridays last September, SUPERNATURAL immediately helped make The CW more competitive on the night and dramatically contributed to year-to-year gains on Friday of 66% in adults 18-34 and 60% in viewers.”
More vampire-y filled goodness on the way!!! Yay! So, which show are you more excited about returning? Personally, I can’t pick. I love both shows, although, I am a season behind on Supernatural. I know, bad me. But, I do plan on finding time to catch up on it, especially since I hear that the current season has a fantastic vampire storyline in it. I totally can’t miss that. Who wouldn’t want to watch the sexy Dean and Sam battle it out with vamps?
As for The Vampire Diaries, well, I’m just as geeked about that. The show continues to get better and better and I absolutely adore the actors, on screen and off. So I can’t wait to see where they take the show in season three. Speaking of season three, the cast recently chatted with AOL about their season three wishes, Paul Wesley said he wants Stefan to let loose a bit, Candice Accola and Zach Roerig just want their characters to live to see the next season and Ian Somerhalder wants Damon to run away with Elena, but Nina Dobrev just wants a nice long vacation. You can watch that interview HERE.
What do you want to see in Season three of The Vampire Diaries? Or Season seven of Supernatural?
