Twilight Books Maybe You Haven’t Read
So I figure if there’s any weekend I’m allowed to gush ad nauseam about Twilight, it’s the weekend that New Moon has been released on Blu-Ray and DVD. So, while you’re in between watching all those wicked special features, and watching Jacob profess his love to Bella over and over, you might want to also catch up on a pile of the books maybe you haven’t read. Sure, you’ve read the entire saga, but there are some other Twilight books that are also very fan-worthy, and if nothing else, will give you even more pictures of the cast along with tidbits of our favorite quotes and such. With these five books, and of course that new copy of New Moon in your hot little hands, you’re sure to have everything you need to get you through another week. And by then I’m sure we’ll have dug up some new material for ya!
Love Bites: The Unofficial Saga of Twilight by Liv Spencer
It’s quoted by its publishers as being the “Twilight Bible” but, it’s the unofficial version so, probably can’t actually be quoted as being any kind of “Bible.” But it does promise lots of backstage stuff, pictures, bios of the cast and so much more. Try to overlook the cheesy pic of Edward and Bella on the front. Even I have a hard time getting past it….
The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide by Stephenie Meyer
This one would have to be my top pick, as far as any official guide goes. It’s written by the author of the original series so you know it’s gonna have some serious insight into it.
Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion by Mark Cotta Vaz
This movie answers any and all questions about the movie Twilight that you might have. If you want to know every single piece of info you can about the movie specifically, this book would definitely be for you!
Twilight: Director’s Notebook by Catherine Hardwicke
Written by the director of the movie Twilight, this would have to be another one of my favorites of the list. From the very eyes of the person who take the vision of Stephenie Meyer and transformed it into something that we can not only read over again and again, but watch too!
The Twilight Companion: The Unauthorized Guide to the Series by Lois H. Gresh
Tons of Twilight stuff here! It sounds like there’s a main focus on the characters themselves, and the folklore that surrounds them. Plus you know, throw in tidbits about Stephenie Meyer too and this one too sounds like it’s all you’ll need!

I have a question about the New Moon book. Is it true that the movie was a lot like the book cause I haven’t read it yet.
New Moon was a lot more true to the book than Twilight. Obviously not EXACTLY like it, but truer than the first. Then again, in my mind I don’t relate the horrid, trashy, preteen garb they portray as films to Stephenie’s writing; as I much prefered the story when it was just words marching across the page.
I actually thought Twilight was truer to the book than New Moon. Then again, I’m still outraged that they left out the scene with the boys sitting around the fire with Bella talking about the old werewolf legends. And because I can’t see past that, every time I think of the movie, I become just a little bit angry hehe. But I do agree, that both books were much better when left in the written word and that no doubt, the next movies in the series will pale in comparison too.
