‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 6 Spoiler: Damon And Bonnie Wait In Purgatory

With just under 11 weeks to go until the return of The Vampire Diaries, Julie Plec talks about what we can expect

As we have been told since a week after the last season wrapped, there will be no Damon Elena reunion in week 1 or 2, and maybe not for a while.  Julie Plec talks about Elena being very distraught even after the large time lapse between her losing Damon and the start of season 6.  She addresses the rumors of Elena’s desperation to be with Damon, and says although she’s very sad, it does NOT send her running to a bottle of pills to end it all.  Elena, although heartbroken, is a survivor and even true love will not destroy this girl, which is no surprise after everything she’s been through in her life. While Damon and Bonnie wait on the other side to rejoin their friends on the side of the living, Julie Plec says “its by no means a roller coaster ride of fun” for them.  Do you think Damon and Bonnie are trapped in purgatory?

  1. ok I am hoping (& so are hundreds of book fans who read the first 4 before all the teenyboppers found this series, at that first kiss between the two) bonnie & damon finally get together, sonny so called delana fans, if you were into the books back I the day when they show was just a silly notion & it was 4 books & that was it…this has been hinted at for a long long time

  2. Idk, since I haven’t been watching. But, I sure hope not. I remember when I first saw the books in the library, the large heads of the character on the front cover and how creepy they looked turned my head and I wanted to know what it was all about. A couple of watching the picture got me hooked and the same for True Blood. These two pictures are what the fans will remember twenty years from now and there will be followers that remake and ask for more. True Blood and Vampire Diaries will become the new legends of this generation.

  3. oh wow that was the newer editions of the books the first editions weren’t so garish as the later copies. I disagree about books vrs movies as all you hear about truly spectacular films 10-30 years later is how dated they are unlike books that never grow old
