Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl

I can not check out a movie website or open a horror magazine without seeing Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl! Clearly it’s some kind of amazing – even though most reviews I read on the flick simply say “it’s fucked up!” Hmmm. Well, I’ll let you guys decide.

Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl is the terrifying story of two classic monsters re-imagined as super hot – and extremely lethal – Japanese school girls. Gore rules supreme in this blood-cake cavalcade of carnage chosen as the winner of the Audience Award at the 2009 NY Asian Film Festival. Fan boys and movie blogs are already buzzing over this bloodbath du jour, and aficionados of psychedelic blood-filled chocolates, mad scientist principals, sumo wrestlers from hell, and sex-crazed school nurses are guaranteed to lose their heads over this old school splatter-fest.”

So ultimately, Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl is perfect for grindhouse fans that love exploitation films.

“Transfer student Monami has a secret and a past that has caught up with Mizushima. Deceiving Mizushima into eating a token gift of chocolate, laced with her blood, he is then catapulted into Monami’s vampire world of blood, death and love. Jilted girlfriend Keiko has other ideas. With a sudden twist of fate, she is then transformed into the hideous and unforgiving Frankenstein Girl, and the battle for Mizushima’s heart begins.”

Oh yea, this is totally a grindhouse dream! Personally, I am not a fan of gore-drenched girl on girl flicks, so I will not be watching this movie any time soon. But if you dig violent foreign films then I highly suggest checking Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl out, surprisingly enough, it has awesome reviews, but it’s definitely an acquired taste.
