Vampire Valentine Gifts

As the commercials on TV and the displays at stores tell us, Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! And what better way to celebrate the day of love, lust and mass consumerism than with vampires? If you’re looking for the perfect gift for your vampire lovin’ honey then I’ve got just what you need!

Jewelry
This is an obvious one of course, people like shiny and sparkly things. But instead of going the classic boring route by picking up a heart-shaped locket at the mall, why not give your sweety something a little more unique and vamp-tastic? I highly recommend checking out Alchemy Gothic’s Valentine’s Day collection. Every time I see their ads in Rue Morgue the girly girl in me takes over and all I can think is “Preeetttyyyy… I WANT!”

Candy
Another classic gift! Fortunately, Candy Warehouse offers loads of vampire themed candy for your lover, unfortunately, you have to buy in bulk, which means you’re going to have LOTS of vampire candy. Some of their goodies include heart-shaped vampire suckers, chocolate fangs and even Twilight candy hearts.

Books
Thanks to the increase in vampire love, there are loads of vampire romance novels, which is perfect for the vampire loving romantic in your life. If you’re unsure of which book to buy for someone, I’d suggest picking up an anthology. A collection of short stories is a great gift, chances are there will be at least one story that they’ll love. To start you off, check out The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance and The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2.

Flowers
Most people give their loved one a dozen red roses, which is beautiful, but boring and totally overdone. So instead of buying a pre-made arrangement, head over to your local florist and choose your own flowers for a very special and unique bouquet. You can have black roses to get that gothic feel, or ask the florist for recommendations. Stuffed Animals
Another big Valentine’s day seller is stuffed animals, you know, like a big cuddly puppy holding a heart or whatever. Every store I go to has a HUGE selection of Valentine themed stuffed animals and other plush goodies, but none of them are vampire related. Luckily they do exist! Pictured right is an adorable plush vampire made by Cuddly Rigor Mortis! I’d much rather have that plush for Valentine’s than a pink bear.
