A Cemetery For Vampires Was Unearthed In Poland

A chilling find has been made in Poland: at least 17 skeletons buried with the skulls severed and placed between the knees or hands. That, say archaeologists, is how vampires used to be interred, to stop them rising from the dead.

This is certainly a shocking find since we’ve all heard the tales of vampires returning to dust when they meet their ultimate demise. Recently in Poland, graves dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries were exposed with what they say could be vampire remains, 17 in all. These vampires were given a ritual burial to ensure the town would see the last of them. What do you think? I would say that archaeology just became a whole lot more interesting.

  1. I’m definitely rooting for Katherine. I love her because she is so bitchy and kick ass. Can’t wait to see how that effects her as a human. So far loving that she hasn’t rolled over and turned weak just ’cause she’s no longer super-vamp-chick. She’s still a survivor. Please don’t let Katherine die. She’s such a breath of fresh air when Elena is being all whiny.
