A Dark Shadows Christmas Carol

Back during the glory days of DARK SHADOWS, when the show was ruling the daytime airwaves, show creator Dan Curtis, who really had no idea just what kind of lightning he’d captured in a bottle with that program, had the idea of doing a version of Charles Dickens’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL with his cast of regulars. They never got around to making that happen. Or I should say, they never got around to making it happen until now! This past week, numerous cast members from the series reunited for a livestreamed version of the Yuletide favorite.

Said Curtis in 2001: “The one thing I wanted to do and I never did…I thought, why shouldn’t we put the whole group together and…do Charles Dickens’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL with the DARK SHADOWS players. Each Christmas came along, and I never got to do it, and that’s the one thing I regret.”

It’s a nice tribute to the creator of the phenomenon, then—DARK SHADOWS I mean; Charles Dickens was the creator of the whole A CHRISTMAS CAROL phenomenon—that they’d do this show this year. If you missed it, fret not. You can watch it in its entirety by clicking here.

This one’s for you, Dan!
