And While We’re Talking about Pattinson

I’m sorry, Robert. I know you wouldn’t like me linking, even indirectly, your name to anything having to do with TWILIGHT, I was just reporting on your feelings about the new book—change that; it should be “new” book since it really isn’t new at all; it’s just the same story told over again with the narrator’s point of view shifted—when this story, here, popped up in my newsfeed. It has to do with your new movie coming out, THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME. (Watch the trailer for it here.) The movie, which will be available on Netflix, stars both Batman and Spider-Man, as well as the Winter Soldier; Tom Holland and Sebastian Stan appear alongside Pattinson. They could form their own little mini-Avengers/Justice League hybrid superhero team. And Captain America was supposed to be in it, too, but Chris Evans had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict. (It was Evans who recommended Stan to take his place. Cap looking out for Bucky, still.) Oh, and Pennywise is in the movie, too. (The Bill Skarsgard version.)

I wouldn’t otherwise have reported on this movie without having seen it, and probably would not even if I did. Or I might have. You can never tell with me. But you remember a few weeks back, when I reported on my visit to the really atmospheric and really haunted former brothel turned bar-and-grill, the Peerless, in the charming little town of Oxford, Alabama? Well, portions of the movie were filmed at the Peerless. Cool, huh?
