Another THE WALKING DEAD Series Named
They’re going to call it THE WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND. This is the new series designed to court the feminist/youth demographic by featuring two young women as the leads. The spin says that the show will “feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come of age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.” Meh. I don’t care. I won’t be watching it. I am so over the whole THE WALKING DEAD thing. Nor am I alone.
Recently I spoke with a friend who was a far more fervent fan of the show than I ever was. This guy ate, breathed, and slept (as well as some other, cruder bodily functions) THE WALKING DEAD. He told me he had stopped watching the show. “It’s a sad reflection of what it once was,” he told me. And this guy was a major true-believer.
You can watch the teaser trailer for the new series here if you want. I swear it really does look like THE WALKING DEAD 90210.
