Just a couple’a three weeks back I brought you all word of sculptor Bryan Moore’s plan to fashion a bust of the man who gifted the world with the most famous vampire of them all, Count Dracula. The man behind the Count is, of course, Irish author Bram Stoker. Moore intends to place the bust, upon completion, at the Dublin Writers Museum in the city of Stoker’s birth. What’s more, he intends to do this on “World Dracula Day,” the 26th of May, 2016, which is the 119th anniversary of the publishing of DRACULA.
Mr. Moore has the talent for this project, no doubt. He has already completed and placed sculptures of Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft in Boston and Providence, respectively. He needs a little help to get it done, though. Check out the kickstarter campaign at the link below, and join the likes of writers Neil Gaiman, Peter Straub, George R.R. Martin, and filmmakers like Guillermo del Toro, among others, who have lent their support to Moore’ projects. Give the man a little support. Or a lot of support. Every penny counts. Plus you can get some really cool swag, if your donation is generous enough. Come on, cough it up for the creator of the Count!
