As a little googling quickly revealed, Zak Bay-gins claims that Bela Lugosi was involved in the occult, voiced most recently on the cooking show HALLOWEEN WARS on the Food Network, were not the first time he’d stated as much. The claims were bogus before and they remain bogus now. Zak bay-gins is the used car salesman of the paranormal investigation world. He’s a huckster. As I’ve stated before, I’m not out to debunk any claims that the allegedly cursed mirror that allegedly once belonged to Bela Lugosi and is now housed in Zak Bagins’s Haunted Museum in Las Vegas has a history of genuine paranormal phenomenon. Rather I take issue with Bay-gins’s false statements concerning Lugosi, statements he has made to pad the provenance where his haunted mirror is concerned.
As it turns out, there is legitimate reason to doubt whether the mirror in question ever even belonged to Bela Lugosi at all.
Ah, but if he can attach the name of the legendary actor to it, Bay-gins can generate more publicity for the object, can’t he? A cursed mirror that once belonged to the great Bela Lugosi is bound to garner more attention than just a coursed mirror on its own, isn’t it?
In summation, then, Bay-gins is a bullshit master. His haunted mirror *may* be cursed, and it *may* have once belonged to Bela Lugosi. But if it did and if it is, it didn’t end up haunted or cursed because of its connection to the actor. Capisce?
