BloodLust Vampire Festival

Time to break out your lace, leather and fangs – it’s time for a vampire party! May 7-9, 2010 are the dates you need to save, for it’s when the big  BloodLust Vampire Festival happens in Orlando, Florida.

“Welcome to Halloween in May! The first annual BloodLust is a weekend long party dedicated to the Vampire and Werewolf genres, featuring major motion picture and television personalities. The exposure to the celebrities will be unprecedented as the weekend will feature Celebrity Q&A Sessions, Celebrity Photo Op Sessions, Celebrity Autograph Sessions, a Banquet and Cocktail Party with the Stars, and a Fangbanger’s Ball on Saturday Evening. There will be Concerts, Vampire Panels, film rooms showing Vampire and scary movies, Costume Contests and so much more. There will always be something fun to do during the busy weekend.”

Sounds like the best weekend ever! It really makes me wish I lived in Florida.  As mentioned above there will be celeb guests, including Nicholas Brendon aka Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Eee! Along with Xander you also have a few other Buffy members – but that’s not all, Brooke McCarter from The Lost Boys will also be there.

Anyway, you have to buy a ticket (obviously) and the price ranges from $10 to $175 depending on what events you want to partake in. The ticket details can be found here.

For more info on BloodLust check out promoter Kenny’s message…

“I would like to welcome you to our first ever weekend long Vampire Festival. We’ve been overwhelmed with fan interest in the Vampire genre and rather than focus on one particular movie or TV show, we’re opening the door to the entire Vampire mythology. This show is for Vampire Lovers, FangBangers, the Gothic community and anyone who is captivated by Vampires and their lore.
In an effort to combat the current economy, we are paying special attention to keeping admission prices affordable for fans of all ages. We hope this will allow more fans to indulge in the excitement.
We look forward to hosting an exciting, intriguing and perhaps mystifying weekend and hope you will join in the festivities. See you there!”

Buy your tickets now, with vampires being as popular as they are there is no doubt this will sell out fast.

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
