Breaking Dawn Soundtrack Revealed – Listen to the First Single Now!

My favorite part of the Twilight films is here – the new soundtrack (I like the music more than the movies themselves)! The soundtrack listing for Breaking Dawn: Part 1 was recently released and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes. If that’s not exciting enough, the big movie single was also released. What is the big Twilight single this year?  ‘It Will Rain’ by Bruno Mars! Check out the new single and the tracklisting below.

I have to admit, I like the song. It’s way better than the last two singles, which I absolutely hated. ‘It Will Rain’ is a great song that definitely fits the tone of the story. Paramore’s ‘Decode’ is still my favorite Twilight single, but this new one isn’t bad at all.

Now for the rest of the songs! Here is the soundtrack art (front and back) and the tracklisting:

  1. The Joy Formidable – ‘Endtapes’
  2. Angus & Julia Stone – ‘Love Will Take You’
  3. Bruno Mars – ‘It Will Rain’
  4. Sleeping At Last – ‘Turning Page’
  5. The Features – ‘From Now On’
  6. Christina Perri – ‘A Thousand Years’
  7. Theophilus London – ‘Neighbors’
  8. The Belle Brigade – ‘I Didn’t Mean It’
  9. Noisettes – ‘Sister Rosetta (2011 Version)’
  10. Cider Sky – ‘Northern Lights’
  11. Iron & Wine – ‘Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Wedding Version)’
  12. Imperial Mammoth – ‘Requiem on Water’
  13. Aqualung & Lucy Schwartz – ‘Cold’
  14. Mia Maestro – ‘Llovera’
  15. Carter Burwell – ‘Love Death Rebirth’

Ok, I honestly don’t even know of half of those musicians, but then Twilight soundtracks are known for their somewhat indie choices. I’m glad they have Christina Perri on the listing, she is an incredibly talented and touching songwriter and singer. Also, while I love the Noisettes’ ‘Sister Rosetta’ I don’t love it on this soundtrack. I don’t really love when any song is used on multiple soundtracks, and ‘Sister Rosetta’ has been.

Anyway, the single ‘It Will Rain’ is available for download now. As for the rest of the soundtrack, you’ll have to wait until November 8 to buy it.

What do you think of the Bruno Mars single and the rest of the songs on the soundtrack?

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
