If it sounds like I’m complaining sometimes on this or on one of our sister sites (werewolves.com and darkness.com) about being too busy, I’m not. I mean, I AM busy, but I’m not complaining about it. It’s great to be so busy, as what I am busy doing is earning a living, and doing it by doing something that I love, so no complaints. (I own and operate a small Theatre company, if anybody is curious.) Rather I’m merely informing everyone that I am busy, and this is the excuse for why I sometimes am a bit behind on all things pop culture: movies, television, books. Case in point, this here is June and I’m only now getting around to watching all the shows I recorded from this year’s MONSTER WEEK on Animal Planet. You can find a more in-depth review of AP’s flagship special this year, THE LOST KINGDOM OF THE YETI, over at werewolves.com. I’m mentioning the show here on this site because of the Vampire.
The Vampire PUMP, that is.
What they can do these days is, they can extract DNA from water. This is the same cutting edge Science stuff that scientists are currently using at Loch Ness, to try to discover the identity of the loch’s Monster (or prove that it even exists). Using this device called “the Vampire,” the DNA expert suctioned water from a glacial stream high up in the Himalayas. Anything that has swum in, peed in, or drank from the body of water in question will leave behind some of its DNA. The water is strained, and then the remnants are scanned for traces of DNA. Did the Vampire uncover any surprising DNA in that Himalayan water? It sure did. But you’re gonna have to head on over to the werewolves site to find out what it was.
