Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries ended with a lot of questions in the air and a whole lot of changes, including a human Katherine, Bonnie the ghost, and Silas as Stefan. I’m sure fans are dying to know what’s next. Fortunately, the cast shared a little bit on Season 5 at this year’s Comic Con panel! There was also video released as well. Check out the goods below.
First up is the video:
And here we have what the cast and executive producer Julie Plec had to say:
In the Season 5 sneak peek above we see Silas as the big bad of the season. But he may not be for long. Julie Plec subtly hinted someone worse could be on the way. Paul Wesley wasn’t pleased with that revelation.
“What? There’s nobody badder!” Wesley complained. “This is incredible. It never ends. Just when you think you’re at the top of the food chain.”
As for all of you Delena fans… Julie Plec and the writers plan to keep the couple going, for a while. “We’ll see how well we do with that,” she said.
But out of everything, fans were super curious about Klaus and Caroline’s potential romance now that Klaus has his own spin-off show, The Originals. Will Klaus return to Mystic Falls? “Never say never, I would say. He’s going to have his hands full in New Orleans,” Plec said. “The question is whether Caroline will have her hands full with Klaus in New Orleans.”
One thing we do know about Caroline is that she’s going off to college with Elena. “I really love going into Season 5 with this really fun energy and the idea of these vampire girls trying to get by in the human world,” Accola admitted, adding that there will be “plenty of friends” to be made at college, including, of course, some hot young coeds. “It’s the first time in CW history that there will be attractive men on a series,” Accola joked.
The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, October 10.
What are your thoughts on the video and the panel?
