Danzig and Purging

Glenn Danzig is the Tommy Wiseau of the Horror genre. And he has his sights set on some werewolf action! Speaking with the folks at the podcast Radioactive with Mike Z, Danzig dropped some of his future plans, and they sound delicious. “The Vampires’ Vengeance is the Death Rider sequel [that is to say, a sequel to his last film, DEATH RIDER IN THE HOUSE OF VAMPIRES]…That’s almost done. Then I’m writing a werewolf biker movie—like one-percenter werewolf bikers, outlaw bikers.” Stop, Glenn. There’s no need to beg. I’ll watch your movie. Werewolf bikers. Those two words alone, when combined, would’ve been sufficient to get my time and money.

In other news, YEAR 2, with Steven C. Miller set to direct, and starring Frank Grillo (Crossbones in the CAPTAIN AMERICA movies who played the face—wrestling term for a hero—in the THE PURGE films) and Katrina Law, is being described as “The Purge with werewolves”. Stop. First werewolf bikers and now this? Sounds too good to be true. “One year ago, a supermoon event caused a latent gene to turn everyone exposed to the moonlight into a werewolf for one night. Millions died—and now, the supermoon is back. Law is playing the brilliant geneticist, Dr. Amy Chen, who goes on a dangerous journey with Grillo’s character to saved loved ones, against a ticking clock.” Yep, that does sound like THE PURGE with werewolves alright. I wonder if there’ll be any biker werewolves?
