I saw that this linked article mentioned the KLF and my mind immediately kicked in with the song “3 a.m. Eternal” by The KLF, which then immediately transitioned to “Justified and Ancient,” the song they did with Tammy Wynette. (“Tammy, stand by the jam!”) This is the same KLF. I think. They’re making a comeback. And this time, instead of Tammy Wynette, they’re building a pyramid fashioned out of bricks made out of human ashes. Says the website: “The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu are building a pyramid. The pyramid will be constructed of 34592 bricks. Each brick in the pyramid will contain the cremated remains of a dead person. This process is called MuMufication…On each Toxteth Day of the Dead [November 23rd] bricks MuMufied in the previous twelve months will be laid by The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu or their representatives on the growing People’s Pyramid. That is until the last of the 34,592 bricks has been laid and the People’s Pyramid is built.” Mmmmm ‘kay.
So you buy the brick, and then when you die, they cremate you and put your ashes in the brick. Sounds like they aren’t planning on building the “People’s Pyramid” immediately, then.
Gives new meaning to Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in The Wall,” doesn’t it?
