DEMETER Delayed

The ship won’t come sailing into harbor quite as soon as it was expected. THE LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER has been moved from January of next year to August of next year due to concerns about Covid.

No, no really. That is to say, it *has* been delayed. But the delay has nothing to do with ‘Rona. I just got so used to having to report on movies being delayed because of ‘Rona that it’s sorta reflex now. Thank God those days are behind us, and may we not see anything similar again! No, the delay of THE LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER has to do with the production process. And it isn’t that much of a delay, anyway. Just seven months. It’s actually a good thing that it’s been delayed. Wouldn’t we all rather they took their time and got it right rather than rushing things and the quality of the movie suffering?

I’m stoked as hell about this movie. I’m gonna be stoked as hell about anything Dracula-related, and I think this project has the potential to be something truly special. Something on the level, say, of Robert Eggers’s THE LIGHTHOUSE, only with Dracula involved. And that concept ought to get all of you stoked as hell, too.
