Dracula: Not For Kids

If the entertainment industry has taught us anything it’s that the moment something becomes popular, it’s going to get spoofed. Dracula is no different. Dracula remakes and spoofs have been done to death – from Bunnicula to Blacula – we’ve seen it all. But here’s a list of a few of the naughtier ones you may not have heard of.

Draghoula: A strange vampire flick that came out in 1990s. It’s about a Jewish scientist named Harry, who undergoes a nightly transformation into “Draghoula”, a vampire in drag who roams the streets in search of tasty human blood. This change does not go unnoticed by Harry’s overbearing mother, nor by his co-worker, Sabrina, who is in love with him. Each woman thinks that only she knows the answer to returning Harry to his former state, and they both set off to save him.

Jacula: An Italian comic book that ran from 1969 to 1982. The series was filled with nudity, blood, violence and lots of sex. Jacula and her vampire husband Carlo Verdier, seduced the unwary and corrupted the innocent, and the fans loved it.

Gayracula: I’m sure you can guess what this movie is about, here’s a hint, the tag line is “He’ll suck you dry.” Yeaaa, a vamp flick about Count Gaylord, a vampire that stalks the streets of L.A. for the sexiest victims he can find, as well as his enemy, the Marquis de Suede.

Dragula: First a 1973 film about a transvestite vampire, and then later in 1994 a porn with the same title was created. As for the 70s flick, it was about Dracula’s two sons pitted against each other. One’s an idiotic but loveable good guy and the other, an evil narcissistic power mad alpha-male.

Spermula: I’ll keep this one short; it’s another crazy 70s porn about horny vampire-like aliens that suck the life out of men.

    1. Did you even read this post? Even a word of it, or did you just read the title? Had you bothered to do so you would have learned that I’m not saying the book is not for kids, but that I am talking about movies and comics based on Dracula that are not for children.
