Heh. I love it when people stick their necks out, metaphorically, and get pinched for it. Just recently all the “experts” have been spewing hot air about how Johnny Depp’s career was over after he lost that defamation lawsuit in England. If you’re unfamiliar, basically he didn’t like some tabloid calling him a “wife-beater” (imagine that) and sued them for libel. (If it’s written, it’s libel. If it’s verbal, it’s slander. I’m not sure what it is if it’s on social media, as there’s nothing “official” about crap written on social media.) The judge in the case ruled against him. So apparently that proves something? A civil case does not have to be proven beyond the shadow of reasonable doubt. A civil ruling is not the same as a criminal ruling, and even then, criminal rulings can be wrong.
I don’t know if Depp ever slapped around Amber Heard or not, or if she ever hit him, as has also been alleged. That isn’t what this post is about. This post is about how stupid all the “experts” can look when they make conclusive claims that are almost immediately discredited. For example: Tim Burton, who is producing a new THE ADDAMS FAMILY series for Netflix, wants his frequent collaborator Johnny Depp to portray Gomez. Depp is honestly the perfect choice. So much for his being “cancelled”. By the way, Rosario Dawson is NOT currently appearing in the second season of THE MANDALORIAN because she was likewise “cancelled” a few months ago.
