I don’t blame Eva Green as much for the abomination that was DARK SHADOWS as I do Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. Depp and Burton are the ones who claimed to be fans of the series. As fans, it was expected, and should be expected, that they’d do right by the property. They did very much the opposite. They wiped their feet on it, and they should both be ashamed of that. Ms. Green was just there to pick up a paycheck, and her performance was the best thing about that lousy, lousy film.
Anyway, this post isn’t about that movie. I just can’t resist taking a swing at it any opportunity I get. Speaking of taking swings, though…
I don’t know if Johnny Depp abused Amber Heard. Neither do you. We weren’t there. But I do know, and this is unfortunate, that she has been caught in at least *some* lies, and while it doesn’t necessarily follow that if she lied about one thing then she must be lying about everything, it does make *anything* she says suspect in people’s eyes. And that’s a real shame for any person who has ever experienced abuse. One person lying about anything relating to the subject just makes it harder for all the victims who are telling the truth to expect to be believed.
Eva Green for sure thinks Depp is the one who has been maligned. “I have no doubt Johnny will emerge with his good name and wonderful heart revealed to the world, and life will be better than it ever was for him and his family,” she posted.
There’s no defending Depp for DARK SHADOWS, though.
