Evil is Coming in New ‘True Blood’ Season 5 Sneak Peek

HBO knows “Waiting Sucks” so they have shared more footage from Season 5 for all of their bloodthirsty fans hungry for a treat. The latest video features Terry and his old war buddy Patrick, who is portrayed by Scott Foley, as they are held at gunpoint by some insane man who doesn’t seem to be a stranger to Patrick. Looking nervous and panicky, the man ties Terry and Patrick up and asks them if they were followed on their way to his place. He adds that “evil” is coming for them all. Have a look for yourself!

Hmmm… this latest video definitely has me curious. I wonder who the crazy man is talking about?

Previously, another sneak peek video was released, showing werewolf Alcide as he breaks the news to Sookie that Russell Edgington is on the loose and is coming for her. Trying to get Sookie to come with him for her own safety, he is then thoroughly bitched at by Lafayette who clearly wants nothing to do with their supernatural world anymore.

Drama drama drama.

But that’s not all HBO recently released for their “Waiting Sucks” campaign! They also released promo that shows off some of the mistakes made by vampires. Mixing footage from previous seasons, it sees Jessica’s date which went all kinds of wrong, Bill’s violent and totally disturbing sexual encounter with Lorena, and clueless Eric who accidentally killed Sookie’s fairy godmother.

Personally, this is my least favorite promo because it inaccurately portrays the show as some kind of oddly hilarious comedy – which is totally not the case. It’s amusing, but still, it doesn’t really work for me.

True Blood Season 5 will premiere Sunday, June 10 at 9 P.M. EST on HBO.

What are your thoughts on the latest “Waiting Sucks” video? Why do you think that insane man is taking Terry and Patrick hostage? How do you feel about the previous promo clips?
