Finding the Ghosts in THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR

I will, as I was forced to do with THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, have to wait for the new Netflix series THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR to be released on DVD before I get to check it out, but I’ve been hearing the buzz about it from trusted sources. They say that it isn’t as good as its predecessor but that it’s still really good. It’s from Mike Flanagan, so I’m sure I’ll dig it. And it’s based on the works of Henry James, most notably “The Turn of the Screw”, which has been depicted numerous times in movies and in TV. (Most notable of its televised depictions is that it inspired the Quentin Collins storyline on DARK SHADOWS.) I dig James, too, so the recipe is there for me to love the show.

Much as was the case with the first “season” of the series, it seems that a fun game of hidden ghosts throughout the episodes may be undertaken, and has been, by sharp-eyed fans. If you’re like me, lazy, or impatient, also like me, you can check out the handy video accompanying this linked article wherein all the hidden ghosts are revealed. There’s a “Doll Face Ghost” and a “Plague Doctor Ghost” among them? Sounds groovy.
