Fireside Chats: And Speaking of NOSFERATU…
I haven’t been picking up the “Toony Terrors” line of action figures produced by NECA. This has just as much to do with space on my shelves as it does with the cost, honestly. That and none of the figures, designed to make classic Horror characters look like Scooby-Doo villains, have blown my socks off. They’re cute, but…Okay, let me amend those comments. I have not BEFORE NOW collected any of the Toony Terrors. None of the previous ones BEFORE NOW have blown my socks off. But I already have the Victor Crowley figure and the Nosferatu figure from the series’ third and fourth waves (not respectively) on preorder from my source of choice, NIGHTMARE TOYS in Las Vegas, Nevada (still open for mail orders during these perilous times). They are sufficiently sock-blowing. Check out the Graf Orlock.
There’s also this lovely NOSFERATU binkie, aka blanket. I don’t really see myself buying it, even at the ONE! DAY! ONLY! special price of half-off, because I don’t want to send the money on something for one of the cats with which I am forced to cohabitate to sleep on and claw up. Also it might be bad mojo for them to scratch up a binkie with Nosferatu’s likeness on it. It might piss him off. And…he might come looking for the offending feline…which would be a good way to get rid of said feline while allowing me full deniability…I may buy this thing after all.
