Miley Cyrus will be voicing a vampire in Sony Picture Animation’s upcoming Hotel Transylvania, which is kind of funny considering that a while back Miley called vampires revolting and said that she doesn’t even like them. Hmmm… I guess she only likes them when she’s paid to be one.
Anyway, in the upcoming film Cyrus will play Mavis, a teenage vampire whose father opens up a hotel for him, his daughter and all the other supernatural beasties. Her father is none other than Dracula himself, and he’ll be voiced by comedian Adam Sandler.
Check out the official plot synopsis and the sneak peek at Mavis below:
“Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free from meddling from the human world. But here’s a little known fact about Dracula: he is not only the Prince of Darkness; he is also a dad. Over-protective of his teenage daughter, Mavis, Dracula fabricates tales of elaborate dangers to dissuade her adventurous spirit. As a haven for Mavis, he opens the Hotel Transylvania, where his daughter and some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – can kick back in safety and peace. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.”
Now for the sneak peek! Here’s a look at Mavis:
Andy Samberg voices the human that winds up at the resort and falls for Mavis. Other actors lending their voice talents to Hotel Transylvania include David Spade (The Invisible Man), Kevin James (Frankenstein), Fran Dresher (Bride of Frakenstein), Cee Lo Green (Murray the Mummy), David Koechner (Quasimodo), as well as Molly Shannon and Steve Buscemi as werewolf parents whose litter is unusually large.
Hotel Transylvania comes to theaters on September 21, 2012.
What do you guys think? I love cartoons so I’ll definitely be checking this one out. I am a bit pissed that Miley Cyrus is in it though, I would have preferred any one else to voice Mavis, like someone who actually likes vampires.

Sad. I was hoping someone had adapted Chelsea Quinn Yarbro’s lovely St Germain series…
This was the most stupid thing I have ever seen because you did not even show Miley Cyrus as a vampire stupid
…did you read the article? That picture above is of Miley Cyrus’ character… make sense now?
