The movie adaptation of Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy is well on its way and we have the photos and video to prove it! This project has been in the works for ages now, so it’s awesome to finally see some movies stills, as well as a Vampire Academy movie poster, and a few seconds of the trailer. Check out the goods below!
In theaters February 14, Vampire Academy centers on St. Vladimir’s Academy, a school for vampires, where Rose is being trained to be a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa (Lucy Fry), a Moroi princess with whom Rose shares a deep bond. The film begins with them being returned to St. Vladimir’s after they’ve escaped, though dark forces are working within the academy to scare Lissa and leaving threatening messages like “Leave or die.”
“I love this story and Rose and every aspect of it just as much as any die-hard fan,” Deutch says. “I’m stoked for people to see how we’ve remained loyal to the book but also injected some of our own colors into it.” said Zoey Deutch, who plays Rose.

I never could get into the books. her succubus series was so great but the idea of her switching to childrens/young adult books threw me. so many of my favorite authors did it&dumbed down the writing, id be interested to hear from someone who read the succubus books as well to see how they liked the vampire academy novels before I seek them out. were they compairable&worth the cost of getting them? theyre not in the library or secondhand stores so its full price where I am at the moment, so w/all the books I do read&love I decided to wait…perhaps in time eh?
can i ask if you know about the black book? i didnt read a lot about it and i cant find anything about it….
