I have finally joined the Kindle masses! Yes, at long last I own a Kindle! After I was finished staring at it, petting it and whispering compliments to it’s pretty screen, I decided it was probably time to actually put something to read on it, so I hit up Amazon and, well, my love for the Kindle grew when I saw how many free books they had – free vampire books!
Here are some of the free vampiric goodies you can upload to your Kindle. If you don’t have one, then stay tuned because here at Vampires.com we are giving away a Kindle every month to one lucky winner!

Dracula by Bram Stoker
This classic is a must have for any vampire fan and luckily Amazon is offering most classics for free, including this one. Dracula tells the tale of Jonathan Harker and his quest to save his beloved Mina from the clutches of the vampire Dracula.
Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu
Another one of the best known vampire stories, Carmilla was published about 25 years before Dracula and is a beautifully dark novella about a vampire and her female victim.
Varney the Vampire (The Feast of Blood) by Thomas Preskett Prest
Varney the Vampire is a mid-Victorian era serialized gothic horror story that introduced many of the tropes present in vampire fiction that are still recognized today. It first appeared in 1845 in penny dreadfuls and was eventually published in book form in 1847. It is incredibly long; the original edition was divided into 220 chapters. So getting this freebie will keep you busy for quite some time.
The Vampyre by John William Polidori
This short story is said to be the first vampire tale in English prose. It was published in 1819 and started a vampire craze. Instead of making his vampire a hideous monster, Polidori presented the first glamorous aristocratic vampire.
If you’re not a fan of classics, then lucky for you, many new vampire authors have put their e-books up on Amazon for free! Here’s a couple of them:
Kiss Me Deadly by Michele Hauf
In this book, death cocktail is what the vampires call a witch’s blood. Its poisonous drop will destroy a vampire within minutes. Nikolaus Drake is the rare vampire who has survived his first taste. Now he’s on the hunt for the witch who almost brought him to his demise – Ravin Crosse.
The Blood That Bonds by Christopher Buecheler
About a womans named Two, who is hooked on heroin, held as property and forced to sell her body to feed the addiction. But then she meets Theroen, a vampire, who is eager to help her.
An Unwanted Hunger by Ciana Stone
