Guillermo and Netflix and Chill
Netflix continues to take over the world. This would be fine with me, except that I don’t livestream. This means I’m always late to supper. I have to wait to see Netflix’s streaming fare until it comes out on DVD. I tell ya, man, living in the dark ages is tough. Things being as they are, though, I can’t help but resent Netflix just a little bit. They’re offering up some topnotch genre fare, but making it harder for me to get to see it. Don’t mind me. I’ll just be sitting over in the corner, sulking, waiting for technology to advance to the point that livestreaming becomes possible even for folks living up on Waltons’ mountain.
Anyway, here’s some exciting news for those of you who CAN livestream. Guillermo Del Toro is teaming up with Netflix to provide them, and you (but not me) with a new Horror anthology series, titled GUILLERMO DEL TORO PRESENTS 10 AFTER MIDNIGHT. It sounds like something in the vein of TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE, except with Guillermo. Del Toro will write and direct some of the episodes personally. Yes, it will be good. It will probably be excellent. And it will be on Netflix. Dammit.
Del Toro’s last live action TV series, you may recall, was THE STRAIN.
Which aired on FX.
I like FX.
I can WATCH things on FX.
