Thinking about the latest film in the franchise, HALLOWEEN KILLS, is the word “kills” supposed to be a noun or a verb? It makes more sense as a noun. These are the series of murders that takes place on Halloween. But it could also work as a verb, which is how I took it when I first heard it. Like literally, Halloween will kill you, or can kill you. The next installment is more straightforward: HALLOWEEN ENDS. Meaning the storyline is coming to a conclusion, not the holiday (and not even the franchise, it’s a safe bet).
In that spirit, the “is it a verb or a noun” question, I will leave it to the reader to determine if the title of this article features the word “colors” as noun or verb.
On Walton’s Mountain, the “porch pirates” we have to contend with are possums and coyotes, not thieves. (Like for realz, I have possums and coyotes on my porch most nights. That’s life on Walton’s Mountain.) I can’t blame porch pirates for my HALLOWEEN KILLS coloring books not arriving, then. I have to blame the USPS for losing them. Fortunately getting Amazon to replace them was easy enough, and now I have one to color in. For those who’ve never tried it, coloring in an adult coloring book with colored pencils really is relaxing. It serves the same purpose as those simple video games you play on your cellphone.
Anyway, check out some of my artwork. I’m no Rembrandt, but I think they turned out okay. At least I managed to stay within the lines.
