‘I Kissed a Vampire’ Musical Coming to DVD

I Kissed a Vampire, the first ever vampire rock musical web-series, hit iTunes a few years back and became such a hit that it’s now a movie, a movie coming out on DVD this summer – July 10th to be exact. But that’s not all, it will also be shown in select theaters this coming Friday, March 30th! I Kissed a Vampire, which is an odd combination of Glee and Twilight, stars Disney’s High School Musical alumni Lucas Grabeel and Drew Seeley. It has music, romance and fangs – perfect for the musical vampire fan.

Check out details on I Kissed a Vampire below:

“High School Musical alumni Lucas Grabeel and Drew Seeley and newcomer Adrian Slade star in this musical look at the torment of falling in love when you’re in the middle of becoming a vampire.

Haunted by bizarre dreams about Goth rocker Trey Sylvania (Drew Seeley), and experiencing a growing lust for blood, Dylan (Lucas Grabeel), a not-so-average teenager finds himself transforming into a vampire! It all started when he was bitten by a voracious fanged exchange student, and it’s a process he is desperate to stop – but how? His demented dentist can’t do anything about Dylan’s aching teeth and emerging fangs, and the anti-bloodsucking pills he gets from his para-psychologist just give him a rash. Dylan is terrified and he doesn’t know what to do – especially about his beautiful girlfriend Sara (Adrian Slade).”

Here’s the official trailer:

Yeah, it’s super campy, but then it is a musical, and musicals tend to be just a little cheesy at times. It does look like a fun movie though, great for a silly night out.

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
