‘Infinity: Chronicles of Nick’ Coming to the Big Screen

My all-time favorite author is heading to film! Sherrilyn Kenyon’s young adult series, The Chronicles of Nick, is being made into a movie franchise! The first first movie (and first book), Infinity, is currently slated to hit theaters in 2014. There is currently no other information on the project, just that it is officially on the way. Yay! Sherrilyn Kenyon is best known for her Dark Hunters series, a fantastic adult series that follows ancient warriors who hunt down vampire-like beings known as daimons. The Chronicles of Nick is a young adult spin-off of the Dark Hunters. This way all ages can enjoy the magnificent world she created, a world of demons, gods, shapeshifters, vampires and more. Check out the description for Infinity below.

InfinityInfinity book description:

“At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.

Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.

But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.

As if starting high school isn’t hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?”

In a year this is going to be a movie! I can’t wait!

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

On the topic of upcoming film adaptations of novels: I read Innocence by Jane Mendelsohn a few days ago. Highly recommended.
