Interview with a Sanguivore
At some point in the future, people will point out the title of this post and remember it as being “Interview with THE Sanguivore” and claim its alteration is proof of the Mandela Effect. The same way they do with Anne Rice’s INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE. (Or did it used to be INTERVIEW WITH *THE* VAMPIRE?!) Or those two titles will be switched. Either way, the Sanguivore in question is my friend Alexia Ashford.
Alexia sanguinely (I’m sorry. I couldn’t resist.) explains the difference between a “vampire” and a “Sanguivore.” Primarily the difference is that one exists and the other does not (Or if they do, they aren’t boasting about it on social media—while using poor grammar—or going to raves sporting fake fangs. Not that there’s anything wrong with people who choose to do that.), although she states it gently. She explains the use of the term “med” being used sometimes to designate Sanguivores, or “Med-Sangs.” She comments on the struggles of living with the compulsion/need to consume blood, and the importance of maintaining a community of support for others like her. She even addresses the relationship between a “Sang” and a donor, a person who willingly donates blood to a Sanguivore.
Thanks for sharing, Alexia!
