‘Interview With A Vampire’ Rejected 5 Times…What?!?

Author Anne Rice is doing what she does best: writing about the dark side.

Anne Rice tells the tale about N’orleans and her most famous book, which if you can believe it was rejected by publishers. How insane is that?!?! I can’t imagine this lady not sailing through a book deal from the get go, I guess there truly is hope for everyone. The lesson here is that if you believe in something keep trying, it took her 6 times to get ‘Interview with a Vampire’ published. I’m so glad she never gave up.

  1. I wasn’t all that into vampires until I watched the movie with my daughter, it was Bram Stoker’s Dracula and then, I watched Interview With The Vampire and I have been vampire craving every since. Although, I must say, I wonder what people would think of vampire versus spider.

  2. Not surprising though, Harry Potter was rejected 12 times. If something’s really original, it might take a while for the publishers to see its potential.
