Jung Il Woo Is Latest Actor in Talks to Star as Vampire Surgeon in “Blood”

“Jung Il Woo has been offered the role of the male lead, Park Ji Sang, a vampire who is a surgeon at a cancer center… His only fault is his desire and hunger for blood, something he struggles to [suppress]…”

Normally, I don’t watch a lot of foreign television;  love foreign films, and especially Asian horror, –but I just never delved into Asian TV, –mostly because a lot of makes absolutely no sense to me, and I am not talking about language barriers. Demented obstacle courses and naked news anchors, –I just don’t get it.

This is more like a supernatural drama series though; it sounds something like cross between Being Human, and Thirst, –the critically acclaimed South Korean vampire movie in which a priest is transformed into a vampire via a medical experiment gone awry. I’ll definitely check this show out once it starts airing. Do you think the world is ready for a Korean supernatural vampire drama?
