Kick Vampire Ass in ‘inFamous 2: Festival of Blood’

Vampire lovers and fans of the open world action game inFamous 2 will be happy to know that vampires are joining the game next month. Sony says that the downloadable episode, titled inFamous 2: Festival of Blood, will launch on PlayStation 3 October 25.

In the upcoming DLC, a swarm of vampires have invaded New Marais. After being bitten himself, Cole McGrath has one night to track down and kill the head vampire in order to save both his soul and the city. Festival of Blood will feature new missions and themed environments, as well as new characters and enemies.

The download will sell for $14.99, and because it’s a stand-alone expansion, previous Infamous games will not be needed to play Festival of Blood.

Sony also revealed that Festival of Blood will feature support for motion controller PlayStation Move. Current owners of the inFamous 2 title will also receive Move support through a free update.

Sounds awesome!

For those of you new to the world of inFamous 2, it’s a single player open world game exclusive to PlayStation 3. In the second chapter in the bestselling franchise, this immersive adventure offers a powerful, emotional, and visceral take on being a superhero, and the choices involved. Features include: a unique blend of electrical and melee combat abilities, epic boss battles, a new morality system allowing for two possible game endings, user generated missions and more.

“The BEAST is coming.
A being of pure power and destruction is annihilating the East Coast. To stop this menace, Cole must find the key to unlocking his undiscovered powers hidden deep within New Marais. Standing in the way is a power-hungry dictator that will stop at nothing to rid him from the city. Gain enough power to defeat The Beast or witness the destruction of the world.
Save the world or destroy it.”

Yeah, it’s one of the most popular of all PS3 games, and it’s about to be even better with the addition of vampires!

Anyone here planning on downloading Festival of Blood?
